Overnight Trip to Terelj National Park with excursion to Chinggis Khhan's Statue Complex

This day trip is a wonderful opportunity to explore the stunning beauty of Khan Khentii mountain range, unique rock formations of Terelj National Park, experience the hospitality of Mongolian nomads and have an active adventure within a day.

Except from exploring the natural beauty and experience the culture of nomads, you can experience the serenity of staying in Mongolian ger – the authentic dwelling of nomads.

 

Day 1

In the morning transfer to Terelj National Park 70 km away. After checking in at a ger camp an excursion to the Turtle Rock and Ariyabala Buddist monastery. Arrive back at the ger camp to have lunch in the spacious restaurant offering stunning view of the surrounding landscape.

In the afternoon have short hiking tour to a hill to have a general view of Terelj National Park and continue exploring the local area. Visit a nomadic family and get introduced to the authentic lifestyle and culture of Mongolian nomads, try traditional dairy food. One hour horse riding. Overnight stay in the camp.

 

Day 2

After breakfast drive to the Chinggis Khaan Statue complex. Upon arrival, explore the Statue Complex and surrounding area. Drive back to Ulan Bator city. Tour ends.

Guests can stay overnight in a snug Mongolian yurts or gers offering comfortable guest rooms with all modern conveniences. It is an ideal place for taking a trip on horseback along the Tuul River or in the valley and visit a local family, to explore nomad’s lifestyle. The Turtle Rock created by nature, Ariyapala monastery and the lifestyle of nomads are the key attractions.
